What Services do you offer?

We are a full service dental office that focuses on minimal invasiveness. Our mantra is: if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

If we won’t recommend the procedure for our own mothers we sure won’t recommend it to you. If your case is too complex, we have a great network of specialists throughout West Los Angeles we will refer you to that share our same treatment philosophies. The doctors and staff at SBD are constantly looking for innovative ways to deliver the best dental care for our patients. You will find that we heavily invest in technology and dental education so we can continue to be at our best.

How does my insurance work?

Dental insurance companies and your employer negotiate and agree to what the insurance company has agreed to pay for each service. When you submit your information using our secure online forms portal, we will be able to easily pull your insurance eligibility and benefits so we can provide you a good idea of what costs to expect you may incur before coming in for your appointment. 

We know that insurance can be confusing, so don’t hesitate to contact us with any insurance questions!

What insurance do you take?

You can utilize any kind of PPO insurance in our office. However, in order to provide the highest quality of dentistry for our patients, we cannot be "in-network" with all PPO insurance companies. Some set their reimbursement fees so low that we strongly feel it is not in the best interest of our patients to use lower quality materials and rush through procedures to make dental care cost effective.

We unfortunately do not accept HMO or DMO plans, but to inquire on how we can still help, just give us a call.  

Are you in-network?

We are in-network for some PPO plans. We always recommend you call your insurance company to verify. If we are not in your network yet, we can still treat you, depending on your out-of- network coverage, they will cover a large portion of our fees still. You can use your PPO insurance at our office, we’ll even take care of filing the claim form for you. As active members of the West Los Angeles dental community, we would be more than happy to refer you to someone in-network as well.  

I don't have insurance, now what?

We offer many financing options to help with the cost of your dental procedures. With Square, we easily accept Google Wallet, ApplePay, Venmo, even Paypal for your convenience.

At SBD, we honestly believe that everyone deserves access to the highest quality of care and finances should not be a barrier.

What are your costs?

At SBD, we take transparency very seriously. We have set our fees at about the 80th percentile of fees in the neighboring cities. We’re not the cheapest, nor are we the most expensive. Our fees are reflective of the quality of materials we use and the time and attention to detail devoted to you and your loved ones. Please note that in-office whitening has increased to $750.

Where are you located?

We are conveniently located on Centinela next to the Doubletree Hotel in Culver City where the 405 freeway crosses Sepulveda Blvd. We are bordered by Playa Vista, Fox Hills, Ladera Heights, Westchester, Venice, and Mar Vista. The easiest way to get into our parking lot is to enter through the entrance of the DoubleTree parking lot.
